At the moment, I do not currently accept returns or refunds on ‘in ear’ earrings due to hygiene reasons. Custom commissions are also non-refundable. The only reason a refund would be issued for one of those types of items would be if the item was damaged in transit - if this happens, please take pictures and email them to juliette.stuart@gmail.com, and I will give you a return address. When I receive the items and establish if the breakage looks accidental via postage then I will issue the refund. Refunds and exchanges will be permitted for items that do not go ‘in’ the ear - so glasses and ear cuffs, provided you notify me within 2 weeks of receiving your oder, and it comes back to me in brand new condition. I do not cover the cost of return postage, and please use a tracked service because you will be held responsible if the item goes missing in the post. If you have made an order by accident, please contact me within 24 hours of placing the order. With all returns, please ensure the item comes back in it’s original packaging. Items sent back to the return address on the parcel without prior notification may not be considered for a refund.
The only personal data I know will be that which you supply when you make a purchase; email addresses, postage addresses, names, and in some cases phone numbers. I will never pass on this data to anyone else, and there are no third parties who will have access to it. The only reason I will use this data is to ship out the parcels, or to contact you in case there is an issue with your item prior to shipping. The data will be kept on my site in my order history - this is in case I ever need to go back and reference a particular order or check the tracking number. In purchasing from the store you consent to this.
As my pieces are fragile and handmade they need to be treated with care. It is recommended that you do not fiddle with or attempt to snap any of the pieces. For cleaning, it is best to use a lens cloth to clean the surface of the plastic, and surgical spirit to clean the ear hooks. If you manage to spill food or something heavier on the earrings, a warm damp cloth and minuscule amount of soap will not damage the plastic. To clean the jump rings, hooks and metal components, it is recommended to use surgical spirit or other types of jewellery disinfectant / cleaning products. For longevity of the pieces, it is suggested to keep them sealed when not in use (eg, in a box) as this will prevent dust and rust. Please do not wear your pieces in the shower or while swimming, as water damage can be permanent. Do not heat. Do not ingest.
All acrylic earrings, cuffs and glasses are made out of 100% recycled laser cut acrylic. Pieces that have multiple colours together are fixed using acrylic cement - a type of solvent that bonds the plastic. This is the strongest and cleanest way of fixing the pieces together, but please do not attempt to snap them on purpose. All the metal fixtures in earrings are hypoallergenic coated, but are not solid silver or solid gold so may not be suitable for someone with an allergy to non-precious metals. Some earrings, eg the prawn earrings, are made with liquid latex and acrylic paint so may not be suitable for those with an allergy to latex. Glasses components are titanium with either a chrome or gold finish.
I endeavour to be as eco friendly as possible. This included using recycled plastic to make my pieces, and packaging in recyclable cardboard boxes and using paper stuffing rather than bubble wrap to wrap. I do currently ship the pairs of earrings in small plastic bags - this is currently the best way I have to store them as it protects them from dust and rust. However, once my stock of those runs out I will move on to using backing cards to ensure that everything that goes in to your parcel is 100% recyclable. I encourage you to recycle the package contents properly and in line with your local recycling guidelines.
All the postage options on my site are tracked services offered by Royal Mail. It is my policy to use tracked services as I manage a lot of orders and need to make sure that things are arriving safely, and to know what went wrong if they don’t arrive. All items will be posted within a week of the order being received. Usually there is only a few days between the order being received and me shipping it out - however I am just one person who also has a day job which is why I give myself the allowance. If you need a piece urgently please don’t hesitate to get in contact, and we can organise express shipping. Alternatively, if you do not wish to pay for tracked shipping and wish to opt for the cheaper untracked services please get in touch to arrange - however during busier times I cannot guarantee being able to offer this service.
